Job Overview
NB: In addition to these functions, employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required and to follow all HR policies and procedures, including the Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety policies.
To plan and carry out deliveries to Kew Electrical\’s customers, maintaining and developing the service relationship in accordance with business plans.
Ensure stores are stocked within guidelines, items are stock-controlled within the system, clearly identified, and stored/picked in a safe and effective manner.
Main Responsibilities
Driver
- Maintain a safe and effective multi-drop delivery service to profit centre customers.
- Drive safely and lawfully, ensuring the company\’s brand is upheld.
- Plan and make deliveries as per requests, ensuring fuel and mileage efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, submitting weekly checks and reporting issues.
- Respond to customer inquiries positively and helpfully, referring to your profit centre as needed.
- Report traffic offences or accidents immediately.
Stores
- Ensure stock arriving at the warehouse is accepted, signed for, and entered into the stock control system promptly.
- Report breakages and missing items to the supplier as soon as possible.
- Put away stock safely and timely, using equipment like forklifts if trained.
- Pick orders accurately, pack effectively, and identify missing or inaccessible items.
- Handle inter-profit centre transfers efficiently.
- Chase suppliers for uncollected returns after two months.
- Assist in stocktake preparations and counts.
- Maintain a tidy, safe working environment, reporting accidents or near misses immediately.
Skills and Experience
- Valid clean driving license.
- Strong communication skills.
- Previous stores experience, preferably in electrical wholesale.
- Understanding of stores and goods inwards processes.
- Knowledge of computerized storage systems.
Additional Expectations
- Follow store and delivery procedures.
- Work independently with periodic reviews.
- Ensure safe handling of goods.
