We work with children aged 5 to 16, supporting them in Maths and English while helping them build self-belief, resilience, and a genuine sense of progress in their learning. Our sessions are calm, structured, and highly personalised. We focus on how children feel about learning just as much as what they learn. This is not a traditional tutoring environment. It is a space where tutors build meaningful relationships with students and families, and where education is delivered with intention, care, and consistency.
The Opportunity
Salary: £20,000 per year
Hours: 30 hours per week (salaried) (Pro rated from £25,000 full time)
What You'll Be Doing:
- Deliver engaging, structured Maths and English sessions
- Work across:
- One to one sessions
- Small group tutoring
- Larger learning environments such as the Confidence First Academy and National 5 courses
Supporting the Experience for Families:
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and parents
- Communicate clearly and professionally
- Contribute to a smooth, welcoming experience within the centre
Being Part of the Team:
- Collaborate with other tutors to maintain high standards
- Support key delivery periods such as holiday camps
- Contribute to the day to day running of the centre where needed
Representing Kev's Class:
- Take part in social media content, including appearing on camera
- Help showcase the real learning experience at Kev's Class

Working Hours (Fixed):
- Monday: 13:30 to 19:30
- Tuesday: 12:00 to 20:30
- Wednesday: 10:00 to 19:50
- Friday: 14:00 to 18:45
These hours include teaching, preparation, collaboration, and operational responsibilities within the centre.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Experience:- Minimum 3 years of teaching or tutoring experience
- Minimum 3 years working with children
- Experience working with children aged 5 to 16
- Strong ability to teach Maths and English
- Confidence delivering National 5 level content
- Experience working with both individuals and groups
- Qualified Teacher Status, or
- A relevant degree in Education or a related field
You'll Also Be Someone Who:
- Is calm, organised, and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Communicates clearly with both children and adults
- Is comfortable being on camera and contributing to content
- Takes ownership of their sessions and standards
- Aligns with a confidence first approach to education
