We are recruiting for an Import Logistics Coordinator for a commercial company located in the Heathrow area. The role is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm and is office based. Salary: £30-35k.
Our client is looking for an import coordinator who has specialist knowledge of the following customs entries:
- Return Goods Relief
- IPR
- Home Use
The role has various responsibilities which will encompass coordination tasks such as providing clearance instructions for items sourced for own use, items being returned for repair, and test equipment. Managing the Return Material Authorisation (RMA) process from initial contact with the customer until the item is received at premises.
The role includes collaboration with multiple stakeholders such as carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and HMRC. You will be involved with Customs Compliance, controlling the Inward Processing Relief process from RMA to Bill of Discharge. Working closely with import brokers to ensure compliance with import and customs procedures including but not limited to Returned Goods Relief, IPR (for Repairs), and Home Use.
You will organise and maintain comprehensive import shipment records, ensuring that documentation is complete and accessible for audit purposes, verifying/reviewing shipping documents/MSS reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs requirements. Working closely with internal teams with high professional standards, you will also proactively communicate with external partners to resolve issues.
Characteristics & Skills:
- Established experience of import processes within a manufacturing environment including but not limited to Returned Goods Relief, Inward Processing Relief (for Repairs), and Home Use.
- Strong experience of using Microsoft Office products.
- Experience of using SAP or equivalent enterprise systems experience would be beneficial (can be trained).
- Be a team player, with the ability to work independently.
- Have an eye for detail and getting things right.
- Know how to listen and communicate effectively with others.
