My client is seeking a Sales Manager to join their established and growing generator rental business. This role focuses on developing and growing hire revenue across the Midlands, supplying temporary and standby power solutions to a broad customer base.

The Role

  • Promote and sell generator rental and temporary power solutions to new and existing customers
  • Manage and grow a defined Midlands territory
  • Identify new business opportunities across industrial, commercial, construction, events, and public-sector clients
  • Conduct site visits to assess power requirements and recommend suitable rental solutions
  • Build strong, long-term customer relationships through consultative technical sales
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and tailored hire packages
  • Work closely with operations, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery and high service levels

About You

  • Proven experience in generator rental sales is essential
  • Strong understanding of temporary power solutions and hire processes
  • Excellent commercial awareness and relationship-building skills
  • Confident engaging with site managers, facilities teams, contractors, consultants, and procurement
  • Able to manage your own sales pipeline and consistently deliver against targets
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills
