My client is seeking a Sales Manager to join their established and growing generator rental business. This role focuses on developing and growing hire revenue across the Midlands, supplying temporary and standby power solutions to a broad customer base.
The Role
- Promote and sell generator rental and temporary power solutions to new and existing customers
- Manage and grow a defined Midlands territory
- Identify new business opportunities across industrial, commercial, construction, events, and public-sector clients
- Conduct site visits to assess power requirements and recommend suitable rental solutions
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships through consultative technical sales
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and tailored hire packages
- Work closely with operations, logistics, and engineering teams to ensure smooth delivery and high service levels
About You
- Proven experience in generator rental sales is essential
- Strong understanding of temporary power solutions and hire processes
- Excellent commercial awareness and relationship-building skills
- Confident engaging with site managers, facilities teams, contractors, consultants, and procurement
- Able to manage your own sales pipeline and consistently deliver against targets
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and presentation skills
