Our client is an established and highly respected specialist in the occupational hygiene and Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) sector seeking an experienced General Manager to lead its next phase of growth. For over two decades, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering LEV design, installation, testing, maintenance, and compliance services across a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, education, aerospace, transport, healthcare, and highly regulated environments. Role
Reporting directly to the Company Directors, the General Manager will take responsibility for the operational, financial, and strategic performance of the business. You will provide leadership to a team of approximately 30 employees, ensuring the efficient delivery of projects, statutory inspections, compliance services, and customer support while driving continuous improvement and commercial growth.
- Leading and developing operational teams across installation, inspection, and support functions
- Working closely with management teams to maximise productivity, efficiency, and service quality
- Overseeing statutory LEV inspection activities and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
- Reviewing technical reports for accuracy and quality assurance
- Monitoring business performance, profitability, and margins alongside the Finance Manager
- Supporting employee development, engagement, and performance management
- Producing regular management reports and KPI updates for Company Directors
- Contributing to the strategic direction and future growth of the business
Significant experience within the Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) industry is required. Strong commercial awareness and financial understanding are essential, along with excellent communication and people management skills.
25 days annual leave plus statutory holidays. Additional annual leave awarded for long service, increasing to a maximum of 30 days.
