A leading global provider of specialist equipment rental solutions is looking to recruit a high-performing Business Development Manager to drive growth across Scotland. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hungry, resilient and commercially driven sales professional to join a market-leading organisation with a reputation for delivering critical solutions across construction, industrial, manufacturing and infrastructure sectors.
We're particularly interested in candidates with experience within equipment rental, plant hire, power generation, climate control, temporary utilities or related technical sales environments.
The Role
- You'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities while growing existing customer relationships across your territory.
- Working closely with operational and engineering teams, you'll deliver tailored rental solutions that solve real customer challenges and generate long-term partnerships.
- Key responsibilities include:
- Winning new business across construction, industrial and infrastructure markets
- Managing and developing existing customer accounts
- Identifying opportunities for temporary power, climate control and specialist rental solutions
- Building relationships with key decision-makers across multiple sectors
- Developing strategic account plans and converting competitor accounts
- Maintaining a strong sales pipeline and delivering against revenue targets
- Working collaboratively with operations to ensure exceptional customer delivery
The Candidate
We're looking for someone with the drive, determination and resilience to succeed in a highly competitive market. You will ideally have:
- Proven field sales experience within equipment rental, plant hire, powered access, temporary power, climate control or a related sector
- A track record of winning new business and growing customer accounts
- Strong commercial awareness and solution-selling capability
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
- The confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels
- A self-motivated, ambitious and proactive approach
