We’re looking for a Generator Controls Systems Engineer who knows this space inside out. This isn’t a step-up role; you need to already be operating at this level with solid generator experience. If you’ve worked on control systems, commissioning, and fault finding across generator projects, this is a chance to get into a business where your expertise is actually valued.

The Role

  • Take ownership of generator control systems from concept through to commissioning.
  • Design and oversee build of generator control panels.
  • Configure and troubleshoot ComAp controllers (InteliGen / InteliSys).
  • Carry out detailed site surveys on existing generator installations.
  • Lead FAT / SAT testing and on-site commissioning.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and control faults.
  • Implement synchronisation, load sharing, and protection systems.
  • Ensure compliance with G99 / G59 regulations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in generator control systems (non-negotiable).
  • Strong knowledge of ComAp systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret LV & HV schematics.
  • Experience with synchronisation and load sharing systems.
  • Confident carrying out commissioning and fault finding on live sites.
  • Strong understanding of grid compliance / protection schemes.
