The Role

We’re recruiting a high-calibre UK Sales Manager to lead growth within the data centre sector for a global manufacturer of switchgear and power control solutions (AC/DC and LV power). This is a project-led, specification-driven sales role, targeting major UK data centre developments. You’ll be the primary commercial and technical interface, working closely with consultants, contractors, and end users, and taking ownership of opportunities from early engagement through bid and award. You’ll operate autonomously, with full UK coverage, and report directly to the Sales & Marketing Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of switchgear and power solutions into UK data centre projects
  • Lead customer engagement across consultants, contractors, and end users

The Person

  • Proven background in switchgear / LV power
  • Either:
  • An experienced technical sales professional or
  • An applications / proposals engineer ready to step into a sales-led role
  • Strong technical understanding of switchgear and power distribution
  • Direct experience within the data centre sector is essential
  • Electrical engineering qualification desirable but not essential
  • Comfortable operating from a home base with UK-wide travel
