A leading provider of materials handling equipment and intralogistics solutions is looking to appoint a high-calibre Business Development Manager to drive growth across a key UK territory. This is a strategic, field-based role focused on winning and developing major accounts within sectors such as logistics, warehousing, manufacturing and distribution.
This is not an entry-level sales role.
- Identify, target and secure new business opportunities across your territory
- Lead and manage complex tender processes for major national and regional accounts
- Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders across logistics, manufacturing and distribution sectors
- Deliver tailored materials handling solutions, including forklift trucks, fleet management and service packages
- Conduct detailed site surveys and operational assessments to understand customer needs
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract award and implementation
- Proven track record in a field-based BDM / Area Sales role within materials handling, forklift trucks, or a closely related sector
- Strong technical and commercial understanding of forklift trucks, warehouse equipment and fleet solutions
- New business focused with the ability to open doors and convert opportunities
- Strong territory planning and pipeline management skills
- Full UK driving licence
