Role: Estimator – VRS
Location: Wiltshire
Salary: Competitive basic bonus, pension, phone, laptop & car / allowance.
Role: Estimator
My client is a leading Highway Solutions contractor specialising in Traffic Management, Safety Barrier & Fencing Services. They are looking for an experienced Estimator – VRS (Safety Fencing) to be commercially responsible for projects, from initial enquiry, through to bid and successful awarding of the contract.
The role will entail taking off from drawings and surveys, visiting client site locations (where required), developing, and maintaining a client portfolio, and ultimately increasing revenue and profits for the company through successful and accurate tenders. The role will provide Commercial support as directed for the business predominantly estimating and tendering and working closely with quantity surveyors.
The role reports directly into the VRS Operations Director and offers genuine future development potential, as the company has a solid history of promoting from within.
RequirementsEstimator – VRS
- You will need a minimum of 3 years’ relevant estimating experience with VRS/ safety barriers. They potentially would consider a Highways related estimator without VRS experience, but VRS is preferred.
- Ideally a HNC or similar in relevant construction-based qualification preferably in Quantity Surveying, commercial or estimating.
- Evidence of highways background and technical knowledge of VRS / Safety Fencing.
- Experience in the use of Estimating software packages desirable.
