An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading international manufacturer of electronic components, taking responsibility for developing and growing an established territory across the South Coast.
This is a field-based, technically led sales position where you'll work directly with OEMs, manufacturers, design engineers and engineering teams, helping customers identify and specify the right component solutions for their applications.
We're looking for someone who is commercially switched-on, technically curious and comfortable developing relationships at all levels within engineering and manufacturing businesses.
The Opportunity
As Regional Business Manager, you'll take ownership of your territory, developing existing accounts while proactively identifying new customers and design-in opportunities. You'll spend the majority of your time in front of customers, understanding their applications, upcoming projects and technical requirements. Working closely with internal technical teams and Field Application Engineers, you'll help customers select and specify solutions across a broad passive component portfolio including power magnetics, EMC components, capacitors, resistors, signal components and frequency control products. This is very much a consultative sales role – building relationships early in the customer's design process and turning technical opportunities into long-term commercial business.
What We're Looking For
- You’ll ideally have experience within technical field sales, electronics, electrical engineering, OEM manufacturing or another engineered product environment.
- Previous electronic component experience would certainly be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
- More important is your ability to understand technical products, ask intelligent questions and build credibility with engineers and commercial decision-makers.
- You should be commercially astute and comfortable developing new business.
- Technically curious with a genuine interest in how products work.
- Confident dealing with engineers, R&D teams, procurement and senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, energetic and capable of managing your own territory.
- Comfortable working within a specification/design-led sales environment.
The Company
You’ll be joining an established global organisation with an excellent reputation within the electronics industry and a strong commitment to employee development. Significant technical and product training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for an ambitious salesperson looking to develop their career within the electronics sector.
Territory: Southampton, Portsmouth, Bournemouth and the wider South Coast.
Role: Field Based / Regional Sales.
If you’re already working within electronic components, automation, sensors, controls, instrumentation, power supplies or another technical/OEM environment and you’re ready for a fresh challenge, I’d be keen to speak with you. For a strictly confidential conversation, get in touch to find out more.
