This is a Technical role, not just sat behind a desk drawing schematics. We’re looking for someone who can design, build, and then go out and make it work on site. You’ll need to come from the generator / power generation world. If you don’t have that, this won’t land.
The Role
- End-to-end responsibility for control systems across complex power projects:
- Design full electrical schematics, wiring diagrams & GA layouts (AutoCAD Electrical / EPLAN)
- Program and configure ComAp (InteliGen / InteliSys) and Deep Sea (DSE 7000 / 8000) controllers
- Deliver load sharing, synchronisation and export control systems
- Ensure full compliance with G99 / G100 and DNO requirements
- Carry out technical site surveys and define integration points
- Support and guide panel build teams to ensure designs are delivered correctly
- Get involved in commissioning when required
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in power generation / standby power / energy systems (essential)
- Strong hands-on knowledge of ComAp and DSE control platforms
- Experience with PLC logic & comms protocols (Modbus, CANbus, SNMP)
- Ability to design 3-phase systems and LV control circuits
- Solid understanding of G99 / G100 and grid compliance
- Comfortable working both in the office and on-site
Qualifications
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering
- 18th Edition (desirable)
- Full UK Driving Licence
