Location: Hamilton (must be commutable). Salary: £28,000-£32,000.

We\’re recruiting for one of Scotland\’s longest-standing container suppliers, providing hire, sales, and specialist conversions to customers across construction, industrial, public sector and logistics markets. With continued growth following recent acquisitions, we\’re strengthening our Hamilton operation with a capable, switched-on Hire Controller.

The Role

You’ll be the linchpin between customers, drivers, suppliers and the depot team. Expect a fast pace, constant variety and the need to stay organised when things get busy.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle incoming hire enquiries, quotes and orders
• Manage container allocations, off-hires and transport scheduling
• Keep systems updated accurately and on time
• Support customers with product advice and availability
• Liaise with the yard team to ensure units are ready, compliant, and delivered on schedule
• Resolve issues quickly and professionally to maintain high service levels

What You’ll Bring

• Background in hire, logistics, plant, tool, accommodation or similar operational roles
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks without dropping the ball
• Confident using hire systems/ERP software
• A customer‑first mindset and a proactive approach to problem solving
• Must live within a commutable distance of Hamilton
