This is a well-established, UK-based power solutions specialist providing generator sales, installation, servicing, breakdown response and load testing to a broad customer base across industrial, commercial and critical environments. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit Field Service Engineers to support customers across the Midlands and North West. You’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of diesel generators, both on customer sites and occasionally at depot level. This is a hands-on role for engineers who know generators inside out and want stability, variety, and proper support.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned servicing and preventative maintenance of diesel generators
- Reactive breakdowns and fault diagnosis on site
- Electrical and mechanical repairs
- Commissioning, load testing and compliance checks
- Completing service reports and liaising with customers professionally
- Working to high safety and quality standards at all times
What They’re Looking For
- Proven experience working on generators (essential)
- Strong mechanical background
- Electrical bias highly advantageous (but not essential)
- Experience working in a field service environment
- Comfortable covering the Midlands & North West
- Full UK driving licence
