We are looking for experienced Motor Vehicle Technicians to join our team in Reading. Working with a team of dedicated and knowledgeable staff in a very well-established and reputable workshop. Our Technicians are driven to be the best they can be. They are enthusiastic, professional and are always looking to learn new techniques, allowing them to work confidently with the very latest technologies. The role: This is a full time and permanent role. You will work Monday to Friday, plus one Saturday morning in three (as agreed in a rota shared equally between you and your colleagues). Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform maintenance, repairs and/or diagnostics on the full range of cars.
  • Maximising efficiency, while always maintaining company and industry standards and benchmarks.
  • Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment to ensure diagnostics, testing, maintenance and repairs are completed in line with the manufacturers repair methods.
  • Utilise the company systems to record and monitor detailed explanations of all work carried out.
  • Providing your colleagues and our customers with highly detailed explanations of work required, or work carried out through face to face and video communications.
  • Expand your knowledge through the completion of training modules, as required to ensure your knowledge and understanding of the product is maintained to the required level.
  • To show respect to your colleagues and maintain your work area to company standards, ensuring an excellent and safe work environment.

Your qualifications:

  • You will be a fully trained and experienced Service or Diagnostic Technician.
  • Certified to NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent to a Level 3 manufacturers qualification.
  • Electric Vehicle maintenance and repair qualifications are an advantage, but not essential as training will be provided.

What we can offer you: We offer a highly competitive salary package, including a starting basic salary of between £30,000 and £38,000 p.a (dependent on your skill levels and experience). In addition, you will be given access to achievable team and individual performance bonus schemes. Your O.T.E is not capped and overachievement is always encouraged and rewarded. You will receive 22 days paid holiday each year, plus all bank holidays. A company pension scheme is offered along with health insurance options for you and other members of your family. We will encourage you to complete in-house, manufacturer and professional training and qualifications.
