Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and production lines.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize downtime.
- Maintain PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and control panels.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, electrical, and workplace safety standards.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
- Collaborate with production and mechanical teams to improve equipment reliability.
- Participate in shift work or on-call duties as required.
Skills
- SVQ3 and HNC in Electrical Engineering.
- 18 th Edition Wiring Regs Certification.
- IPAF License.
- Experience in an industrial or food processing environment.
- Experience with single phase and 3 phase systems in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, and automation.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong commitment to safety and hygiene standards.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, or similar food safety systems.
