What you’ll do:
- Support end-to-end supply chain activity, including procurement, production planning, and distribution.
- Assist with inventory control and stock monitoring to help maintain continuity of supply.
- Contribute to production scheduling in line with demand forecasts and operational capacity.
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to support the timely delivery of materials and products.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret operational data to support business decisions and performance reporting.
- Prepare routine KPI reports covering areas such as service levels, waste, and operational efficiency.
- Take part in continuous improvement projects focused on reducing cost, minimising waste, and improving efficiency.
- Follow all food safety, quality, compliance, and health and safety requirements.
- Complete all workplace and academic requirements of the Graduate Apprenticeship programme and apply learning directly within the role.
You will ideally have an awareness of Quality Control and Food Safety procedures; however, full training is available for the right candidate.
Study and apprenticeship commitment:
As part of this role, you will spend one day each week studying on the University of Dundee Graduate Apprenticeship programme, working towards a BSc (Hons) in Business Management over four years. The programme combines university-based learning with practical work‑based application, and Graduate Apprentices typically spend one day per week on campus with an additional average of 7–9 hours of independent study outside contractual hours. You will be expected to fully engage with the requirements of the apprenticeship programme throughout your employment, including maintaining progress with coursework, assessments, and workplace evidence. You will also need to submit a successful SAAS application each year to secure funding for the programme.

Qualifications and eligibility:
To be considered, you must meet the entry requirements for the Business Management Graduate Apprenticeship – BSc (Hons) at the University of Dundee. Suggested entry routes include the following:
- BBBC at Higher (English and Mathematics preferred).
- A Modern Apprenticeship in a relevant area at SCQF Level 6.
- A Foundation Apprenticeship in a relevant area plus two Highers.
- Relevant work experience or equivalent qualifications.
- Typically, an HNC or HND in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience, may also be considered.
