We are looking to appoint a committed SEN support Assistant. We are seeking someone who has ambition and confidence, as well as wanting to develop their skills within a school. The role will involve working 1:1 with pupils that require behavioural, educational or emotional support. At KPJA we pride ourselves on our collaborative and caring approach to education. Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe environment for children and take responsibility for supervising and assisting them.
  • Enjoy working with children.
  • Have a caring personality and uphold the school's values.
  • Work as part of a team and have good communication.
  • Respect the confidentiality at all times of pupils and staff.
  • Be happy to undertake training as appropriate for their duties.

We can offer the successful applicant a caring and supportive environment in which to work, where everyone is valued, a dedicated, friendly and committed staff and governors, and pupils who are friendly, happy and enthusiastic.

The role is working 29 hours per week as a SEN Teaching Assistant and 2.5 hours per week as a lunchtime supervisor for 39 weeks a year. This post is fixed term linked to the needs of our SEN children.
