Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with a passion for acute care to join our forward-thinking and highly regarded therapy team. We welcome applications from Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists who are looking for full-time, part-time hours or secondment opportunities. This is a fixed term opportunity for 4 months.
Responsibilities
- Be the therapy representative at discharge hub meetings – providing consistent, expert therapy advice to inform accurate and appropriate hub decisions first time.
- To provide advice and support to ward therapist on complex cases delaying discharges (identified via, discharge hub, bronze, stranded or therapy staff themselves).
- To provide therapy cover to escalation areas – ensuring these are prioritized equally to the base wards.
- To provide additional senior therapy decision maker on the medically fit wards to enable positive risk conversations and improve flow.
- Applications will be transferred to TRAC system, by completing an application your are giving authorisation for the transfer of your data. Correspondence regarding your application will be sent to you via a TRAC system account.

Including factual reference, occupational health clearance and statutory and mandatory training record.
- If you need to have a Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check, as a requirement of the role, you will be required to repay the cost of obtaining a DBS check (£49.50) and this amount will be reclaimed from your first salary. From 1st February 2019 all new starters to the Trust are required to join the DBS update service as per Trust DBS Re-checking Policy which has an annual cost of £16. New employees who do not join the update service will be required to pay £49.50 for a new DBS check in 3 years time.
- Please note that new starters with KGH are subject to a six month probationary period.

Failure to do so may result if your offer being withdrawn.
