Kettering Buccleuch Academy has seen many exciting changes since becoming an academy in September 2009. We are an all-through academy catering for students aged 4-18, having moved into our new, purpose-built building in January 2013. The role: We are seeking a committed, organised and professional Sixth Form Study Centre Manager to work within the Sixth Form team of our academy. Kettering Buccleuch Academy has a high performing, thriving, and growing Sixth Form which was rated as Ofsted Outstanding in October 2021. The standards and expectations of the Sixth Form are high, and our students are hardworking and ambitious about their Post 18 destinations. Teaching standards are high, which reflects in the A Level outcomes. The majority of our students go on to study at university or take up apprenticeships. We are looking for the right person to support our students and staff to continue with these aspirations and high standards.
About You: You have the specialist knowledge, skills, understanding and experience relevant to the nature of this post. You will have prior experience of working within a secondary school setting, supporting students to achieve their potential. A Grade C or above at GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics is essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience using computer and online-based administration systems and must be able to adapt and learn new packages. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as this role includes regular communication with staff, students and parents/carers. You will be able to form and maintain appropriate professional relationships with students and adults working in the school. You will enjoy the challenge of contributing positively to the work, ethos and values of the school and be willing to go above and beyond in this important role.
