As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an Information Security Systems Engineer to take ownership of our cyber security, infrastructure and information security systems.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer (Infrastructure & Security) who enjoys solving problems, improving infrastructure and helping shape our cyber security strategy. Working closely with our external IT providers and internal engineering teams, you'll play an important role in maintaining and developing our IT infrastructure while ensuring our systems remain secure, resilient and fit for the future. This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll support business-critical systems, contribute to infrastructure projects and help strengthen the organisation's cyber security posture.
You'll work closely with our Software Team to support network architecture, configure and maintain test rigs, provide 2nd line technical support and liaise with our external IT providers to ensure the smooth running of our technology environment. You'll also play a key role in troubleshooting infrastructure and networking issues, supporting Microsoft Azure cloud services, maintaining our IT asset database and managing Windows Defender, SIEM tools and wired and wireless network infrastructure to help keep our systems secure and resilient.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Software Team to support and develop network architecture.
- Configure and maintain hardware test rigs.
- Liaise with and manage external IT service providers.
- Provide 2nd line IT support to colleagues across the business.
- Support cyber security initiatives and security best practice.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and networking issues.
- Assist with maintaining the IT asset management database.
- Support Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Manage Windows Defender security solutions.
- Monitor and investigate alerts using Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) tools.
- Support and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure.
About You
You'll ideally have experience with:

- Microsoft 365
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Azure
- Networking and Wi-Fi infrastructure
- Windows Defender
- Cyber Security principles
- SIEM tools
- IT troubleshooting and fault finding
- Working with third-party IT providers
