This is an exceptional opportunity for a new Creative Associate to support Bridewell based in a beautiful part of rural Surrey.
We are looking to appoint a talented Creative Associate to join our dynamic marketing team to help shape visual storytelling that engages, informs, persuades and inspires. The ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge of current design software and be skilled in understanding the design lifecycle, from concept creation through to final completion and analysis. You must be a natural problem solver and able to apply a structured, client-centric approach, building relationships to understand key themes, concepts and ideas and adding value through creating powerful, on-brand visual representations, in both print and digital media.
Supported by experienced marketing and communications colleagues and collaborating with stakeholders across the Schools of the Bridewell Royal Hospital, you should be able to take written or spoken ideas and convert them into design solutions that cut through. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of branding and a good awareness of connected marketing practices: adopting a layered marketing channel approach to maximise reach and impact, and optimising budget allocation. You must be adaptable and able to find the right style and approach for every project – sometimes working within and enhancing established design frameworks, sometimes leaping outside of the box.

Well, this is a good old fashioned blooper reel, and who doesn’t love those, right? BUT… there’s a little more to it. Life’s bloopers teach us so much more than ‘first time perfection‘ ever could. PRACTICE makes PROGRESS… or in this case PRACTICE makes ‘PREFECT’ (sorry not sorry for that one). We humans are perfectly imperfect… our moments of imperfection and vulnerability form the very foundation of our authenticity, connection and growth; they are the engine that turns conscious effort in to automatic skill. Our so called ‘soft skills’ are far from soft. They are vital drivers for success - in relationships, our mental wellbeing & working life; never more so than in a world increasingly dominated by technology. Throughout filming we observed an openness to trying something new, resilience, patience, adaptability, determination. honest self-reflection, collegiality, kindness and good humour… followed by a demonstration of confidence and great communication. Girl’s Hockey is GO at King Edward’s, Witley! What a brilliant festival of girls hockey we’ve had the pleasure of hosting this week. We were delighted to welcome under 11 and 13 teams from a variety of local schools. Alongside some fantastic skills, friendships have been forged and great sportsmanship has been on display across all the teams. Well done to the players, thank you to all the schools for joining us, and a huge thank you to our sports department headed by Mrs Fitch and Mr Edwards for bringing together such a superb event. We are looking forward to hosting the under 12 festival next week; here’s hoping for more great weather, even more great hockey and another fun day of sport for all.

Third Form pupil, Alex, has shown true entrepreneurial spirit and initiative with the launch of his brand, Xander’s Soap. He has successfully developed and grown his own business, Xander’s Soap, earning Best Product at the Guildford Children’s Business Fair and being named runner-up for Best Sales Pitch. Fans of his ‘soap with a surprise’ include ex-Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. These are impressive accomplishments for Alex and reflect genuine creativity, initiative and entrepreneurial get up and go. As part of our autumn Event Series, we are delighted to be hosting Matt Pinkett, renowned author of Boys Do Cry, Boys Don’t Try?, and Unmasking the Manosphere. Matt is a locally based educator and acclaimed author specialising in mental health, academic performance, and the socio-cultural challenges faced by young people in education today. In addition to age appropriate sessions with various year groups throughout the day, Matt has agreed to lead an evening session tailored specifically for our King Edward’s and Barrow Hills community. This event is intended for an adult audience to explore the influences shaping boys today and practical ways we can support them. MAKING WAVES… and the season has only just begun! What an incredible summer of sailing it’s been for this talented Year 8… EK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS | LAKE GARDA Max qualified as one of just 10 boats to represent the GBR team at this summer’s World Championships in Lake Garda, Italy. Sailing as crew in a two-man dinghy, Max enjoyed some great results across 10 days of racing. While he narrowly missed out on a podium finish, it was an incredible experience competing at the highest level. A NEW SEASON l NEW CHALLENGE! The new season started on 1st September, with Max now helming his own boat - a situation much more to his liking! His first event was the Brent Open two weekends ago, and what a start... WINNER OF THE BRENT OPEN! A superb achievement and the perfect way to kick off the new season. NEXT STOP: RUTLAND WATER This weekend, Max heads off for a two-day event at Rutland Water, hoping to build on that brilliant start and continue his sailing adventures. Super proud of you, Max. May the wind be in your sails this weekend! Keep on!
