The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
This key role is responsible for food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process, ensuring that all products are produced to customer specifications and that all food safety and quality records are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of Intake: manage goods coming in, carry out inspections to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Completion of EHO/Phyto cert applications.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding issues/outstanding information, trending and presentation of KPIs.
- Day-to-day management of student QA, oversee and plan tasks on the floor to meet daily, weekly and monthly schedules to ensure daily compliance of all Food Safety and GMP Practices to BRC and customer standards.
- Complete sign off for process control sheets to include packaging checks, verification of product date codes, packaging, weights, product name and quality of products produced.
- Support production in an advisory capacity regarding allergen control and carry out verification swabs to release production lines.
- Ensure all supplier approval information is up to date, and the required information is on file for each supplier.
- Assist with new supplier approval as and when required.
- Supplier Corrective Action Reports to Supplier, follow up and trending of these.
- EUDR coming into play Dec 2026, collect the relevant verification codes and DDS code from supplier paperwork and record these on the system.
- Monitor the Works order Best Before check report and request any extension ahead of time.
- Other duties or projects as required by the management team.
Essential Criteria:
- Knowledge of Food Safety Principles/Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good verbal & written communication skills (high standard of English essential).
- Reliable and strong work ethic with attention to detail.
- Flexible to meet the needs of the business.
Desirable Criteria:
- Degree or equivalent in a technical, food-related or science-based discipline.
- 1 year previous experience in a similar role.
- Level 2 Food Safety.
- Level 2 HACCP.
- Internal Auditor Training.
