Kestrel Talent is recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Repair Claims Handler to join a busy and growing motor claims operation. This role would suit someone who understands the complete motor claims and vehicle repair journey, from First Notification of Loss (FNOL) through to repair completion, and is comfortable coordinating customers, repairers, insurers and other parties to keep claims moving.

You’ll need to be organised, confident communicating with different stakeholders and able to manage multiple live claims while maintaining a high level of customer service.

The Role

As a Vehicle Repair Claims Handler, you will take responsibility for claims from the initial notification through to completion. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Handling First Notification of Loss (FNOL) and accurately recording all relevant claim information.
  • Managing motor claims from initial notification through to vehicle repair and completion.
  • Arranging vehicle recovery, roadside assistance and replacement/hire vehicles where required.
  • Liaising with customers, bodyshops, repairers, insurers, engineers and other third parties.
  • Providing clear and accurate updates throughout the repair and claims process.
  • Monitoring repair progress and proactively addressing potential delays.
  • Managing customer and client queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Handling escalations and resolving problems with a practical, solution-focused approach.
  • Ensuring claim records and systems remain accurate and up to date.
  • Managing a busy caseload while prioritising urgent or time-sensitive cases.

What We’re Looking For

Previous experience within one or more of the following is essential:

  • Motor claims
  • Accident management
  • Vehicle repair claims
  • Motor assistance
  • Insurance claims involving vehicle repairs

You should also have:

  • A good understanding of the motor claims and vehicle repair process from FNOL through to completion.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple claims and priorities in a busy environment.
  • Excellent telephone and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Confidence dealing with repairers, insurers, engineers and customers.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with delays, complaints or escalations.
