Location: Coventry, West Midlands – Hybrid Salary: £75,000–£85,000 per annum + uncapped bonus + company car scheme Job type: Permanent Kestrel Talent is recruiting a Commercial Director to lead growth across an automotive services group operating repair pods and bodyshops, with potential expansion into mobile services. Reporting to the Managing Director, you’ll shape the commercial strategy, win new business and manage major customer relationships. You’ll lead the account management team while remaining personally involved in sales, pricing and negotiations. This would suit a commercial leader who enjoys building relationships, winning profitable contracts and working closely with operations to deliver what has been agreed. The role * Develop and deliver the group’s commercial strategy. * Win and grow accounts with insurers, accident management companies, fleet operators and vehicle manufacturers. * Lead bids, tenders, contract negotiations and renewals. * Manage pricing and review profitability across customers and services. * Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate revenue and gross profit forecasts. * Work with the Operations Director on deployment and scheduling strategy. * Lead and develop the account management team. * Improve customer service and identify opportunities for further growth. The experience we’re looking for * A proven record of winning and retaining profitable B2B accounts. * Relevant experience in automotive repair, accident management, fleet services or a closely related sector. * Confidence negotiating with senior customers and managing major accounts. * Experience leading a commercial or account management team. * A strong understanding of pricing, margins, forecasting and contract performance. * A practical approach to working with operational teams.
