On‑the‑job training and growth opportunities are available. Two vacancies are available with flexible hours as follows:

  • Monday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Monday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 1:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Main duties of the job:

As a Patient Adviser, you will primarily handle administrative duties, as all incoming calls are managed by our call centre. Your responsibilities include:

  • Processing incoming emails
  • Managing daily tasks from clinicians
  • Handling online booking requests
  • Providing exceptional front‑of‑house service, directing patients to appropriate services or healthcare professionals courteously and efficiently
  • Supporting patients and colleagues in using new technological processes and procedures introduced by the practice

Work Location: Keston Moorings Medical Practice, Purley & Kenley.

Job Types: Part time, Permanent

Pay: £12.71 per hour or depending on experience

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet and receive all visitors and patients with a positive and professional attitude
  • Manage and action requests made by patients via the online booking system
  • Process incoming emails promptly
  • Answer internal telephone calls, redirecting or dealing with them as necessary
  • Process prescription requests according to practice guidelines
  • Handle patient inquiries and schedule new and follow‑up appointments
  • Communicate test results to patients through appropriate methods
  • Assist with the booking of transport for hospital appointments
  • Arrange interpreter services when necessary
  • Schedule medical examinations and extract notes for medical reports
  • Process practice notes daily and take required actions
  • Liaise with clinical software and telephone companies regarding system issues

  • Disclosure and Barring Service Check
