The Role
Parico is seeking a talented Senior Infrastructure Architect who thrives in a small, agile business environment and enjoys solving complex Public Sector and Defence challenges. Working within a close-knit technical team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping major programmes of work and ensuring that solutions are expertly designed to meet both functional and non‑functional requirements. In this role, you will lead technical and design discussions with senior stakeholders, guiding the adoption of modern technologies and secure architectural practices. You will own solution estimation, delivery oversight, and transition into operations, ensuring high‑quality outcomes throughout the life cycle. Your expertise will help uplift multiple engineering teams, embedding NCSC standards and driving productivity, while developing robust technical solutions across design, de‑risking, and development disciplines.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading technical and architectural discussions with senior stakeholders to drive adoption of new technologies and practices
- Owning end‑to‑end solution design; including estimation of cost, complexity and delivery timelines
- Maintaining full lifecycle ownership of the solution, from design through delivery, transition to operations and ongoing refinement
- Ensuring solutions adhere to National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) standards and integrate security by design
- Providing technical leadership across multiple teams, boosting productivity through knowledge‑sharing and architectural guidance
Our Ideal Candidate
- Proven track record in delivering large‑scale IT projects, with hands‑on responsibility for designing and implementing highly available, secure and resilient infrastructure solutions
- Excellent documentation skills, including producing high and low level technical designs and translating them into precise configuration and implementation details
- Demonstrated experience leading technical and architectural discussions with senior stakeholders, influencing decision‑making and driving technology adoption
- Experience overseeing end‑to‑end solution lifecycles; covering estimation, design, delivery, transition into operations and continuous improvement
- Ability to provide technical leadership across multiple teams, embedding security best practices (including NCSC standards) and developing robust solutions across
