We have an exciting opportunity for a machine operative to join our clients' successful manufacturing team in Stanley. The role involves working for a forward-thinking growing manufacturing business. This role is permanent but may initially commence as temporary.
Hours of work are: Permanent dayshift 6:00am - 6:00pm Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday for 4 weeks and Thursday, Friday, Saturday for 4 weeks working 6:00am - 6:00pm on an ongoing rotation thereafter.
Job Description
- Update and maintain all QA and production records as required.
- General production duties and cleaning duties.
- To assist Supervisors and Team Leaders to achieve their goals.
- Carry out stock checks materials.
- Ensure that all work areas are kept clean, tidy and free from damaged goods.
- Checking and printing of production codes are required.
- Production checks for closures, volume control, labelling and packing.
- Carry out quality checks as specified in customer specification or advised by QA department.
- Ensure that customer specification is adhered to and appropriate quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure equipment is running correctly and safely. Take appropriate action to resolve problems, including stopping the line when necessary in order to request assistance from maintenance or supervision if required.
- Filling machine operation and setting.
- Set up and run the plant machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.

Desired Experience
- Previous experience in working in a fast-paced production environment is advantageous.
- Experience in both running and setting machines is preferable but not essential.
