To ensure that electrical maintenance is managed safely and efficiently by Electrical Technicians and Contractors Electricians.

Ensure safe and reliable operation of electrical systems in accordance with UK regulations and industry best practice.

Competent, safe and accurate completion of all allocated tasks to maintain the quality performance of the company.

Provide technical support, leadership and guidance to projects, operations and maintenance.

Hours of work would be 08.00 - 16.00, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure planned and unplanned maintenance routines are to be prioritised, resourced and completed on time, in line with all relevant standards.
  • Ensure that all tasks, follow up works and repairs are recorded and updated on the site CMMS.
  • Ensure that all maintenance personnel and contractors working are competent and comply with site rules and regulations.
  • Produce engineering and maintenance procedures for new systems.
  • Preparation and review of method statements and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
  • Line manager for Electrical Technicians.
  • Develop maintenance technical instructions and scopes of work for procurement of maintenance services/equipment supply.
  • Identify bad actors/equipment with frequent failures and escalate to the Electrical Engineer and Maintenance Manager for replacement or re-design.
  • Execute safety critical equipment routines ensuring correct installation, checks and precautions are taken.
  • Ensure inspections, defects and repairs are recorded on the site maintenance control forms.
  • Day to day management of Electrical Technicians.
  • Perform electrical isolations and complete isolation certificates in accordance with Isolation, Lockout & Tagout Policy, Procedures and Guidance.
  • Part of On-Call rota providing emergency engineering support to plant.
  • Competent, safe and accurate completion of all allocated tasks is required to maintain the quality performance of the company.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • BTEC/NVQ or equivalent in Electrical Engineering discipline or time served apprenticeship.
  • Experience in a supervisory role.
  • COMPEX 01, 02, 03, 04 certified.
  • 5+ Years experience working within a Petrochemical / chemical industry as an E&I technician.
