We are recruiting a number of FLT Production Operatives to join a leading manufacturing client in Birtley. These are long-term opportunities which combine forklift duties and hands-on production responsibilities. Some positions also require a full UK driving licence due to transporting materials between units.
Key Duties
- Operating Counterbalance FLT safely
- Transporting materials across site (and between units where required)
- Working on a fast-paced production line
- Machine operation
- Packing and quality checking products
- Manual handling and lifting
- Vessel cleaning using jet wash equipment
- Working with solvent-based products (PPE provided)
- Adhering to COSHH and health & safety procedures
- Completing shift handovers
Shift Pattern
- 2 days 6:00am - 6:00pm
- 2 nights 6:00pm - 6:00am
- 4 days off
- Continental rotating pattern which involves some weekend working. Breaks are paid.
Requirements
- Accredited Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
- Full UK driving licence for positions involving transport between units (where applicable)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Able to work continental shifts
- Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred
- Good attention to detail and teamwork skills
