We are delighted to have this rare and exciting opportunity for a Stores Administrator to join our clients existing team based in Stanley, County Durham. This is a temporary vacancy that may commence as temporary initially. Hours of work are Monday-Friday 8.00am-4.30pm.

The successful candidate will provide vital support to the Manager of Engineering and the Engineering team to ensure business objectives are met efficiently, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Quality, and Engineering. This role requires exceptional organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and effective communication across all levels of the organisation.

Duties include:

  • Liaising with suppliers, reacting to deliveries not arriving on time
  • Ordering parts and managing deliveries
  • Creating/providing order numbers
  • Inputting data
  • Managing stock – stock checks, PPE
  • Liaising with Engineers – issuing stock, informing on parts
  • Delivery notes
  • Migrating items and PPM schedules onto UPKEEP system
  • Keeping Stores in a good state of cleanliness and tidiness at all times
  • Packing and sending any items that need to be sent by courier to ensure safe delivery
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with current H&S, environmental and food safety legislation and procedures
  • Use all PPE and equipment as instructed
  • Maintain a safe working environment at all times
  • Report any serious malfunctions or risks to a responsible person

Experience required:

  • Previous experience in working in a warehouse/stores administration role is highly desirable
  • Suitable candidates will be computer literate and ideally have experience of using Microsoft Office Packages including Excel
