KES Solutions are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join our client based in Peterlee due to continued business growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing manufacturing site offering a stable day shift initially, with the potential for future shift opportunities as the business continues to expand.
The Role
As a Production Operative, you will support the daily running of the site, ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently. Duties will include:
- Operating heavy plant machinery
- Following strict health and safety procedures
- General housekeeping and maintaining a clean working environment
- Supporting the production process and maintaining workflow
- Reacting positively to changes within the operation
- Using your own initiative to improve efficiency
- Working as part of a team to meet daily requirements
- Operating a Forklift Truck once fully trained
What We’re Looking For
The ideal Production Operative will have:
- Previous experience working within a production, manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience working around heavy machinery would be advantageous
- FLT experience is desirable but not essential as training can be provided
- A good understanding of workplace health and safety
- A reliable, flexible and team-focused approach
