We are currently recruiting Machine Operatives to join our team on a temporary-to-permanent basis (subject to successful completion of a probation period). Location: Peterlee Hours: Full-time, 4 days per week (Monday–Thursday, 6:00am – 4:30pm) A great opportunity for a healthy work–life balance with long weekends off! About the Role You’ll be responsible for operating machinery to manufacture wood and composite products, working steadily towards daily targets. While this is a hands-on role, plenty of lifting aids and some automation are in place to support the work. Candidates should, however, be comfortable with elements of manual handling. Full training will be provided, but we’d especially like to hear from applicants with previous experience using machines to manufacture wood products. Key Responsibilities * Operating a CNC machine to manufacture products * Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality standards are met * Working towards daily production targets * Measuring and inspecting products to specification What We’re Looking For * Previous CNC machine experience (advantageous, but not essential) * Background in manufacturing or production * Ability to follow SOPs with attention to detail * Physically suited to manual handling tasks * Reliable, dedicated, and a strong team player * Willingness to learn with a positive attitude Due to the high volume of candidates responding to our adverts unfortunately we are not always able to provide individual feedback.
