KES Solutions are recruiting for a Factory Laborer to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Birtley. This is a hands-on role working both indoors and outdoors within a busy manufacturing environment. Due to the nature of the position, you must be comfortable working in all weather conditions and carrying out physical duties throughout the shift.
Duties will include:
- Cleaning production containers using industrial cleaning products
- Using industrial solvents safely and correctly
- Manual handling of materials and equipment
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Moving materials around the site using a forklift truck (where authorised)
- Assisting other departments as required
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
- Following all health and safety procedures
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, factory or labouring environment is preferred
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Reliable with a good work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid Forklift Truck licence would be advantageous but is not essential
