We are recruiting for a Tester within our Energi Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and carrying out quality checks on MV and LV switchgear. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking company with state-of-the-art facilities and ambitious plans for the future.
Responsibilities
- Performing routine and final testing on low and medium voltage switchgear assemblies.
- Interpreting electrical schematics, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues and working with Engineering team to resolve design or manufacture issues.
- Preparing accurate test reports and maintaining proper documentation.
- Performing quality inspections at different production stages, and report on findings.
- Supporting Factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) with clients.
- Ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assisting in the commissioning of switchgear (on site) so occasional travel required.
Skills and Qualifications
- A degree or HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering or related field, or proven experience in an electrical switchgear testing similar role.
- Experience with testing equipment, and knowledge of switchgear operation and protection systems.
- Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills, and ability to interpret electrical wiring schematics.
- Ability to work within tight deadlines.
- Excellent IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office packages, and strong documentation, reporting and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail, and ability to work to exceptionally high standards.
