We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-precision components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in fabrication, mechanical knowledge, and materials handling to contribute to a dynamic production environment.
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines according to technical specifications and production requirements
- Operate CNC milling machines and other related equipment efficiently and safely
- Interpret technical drawings
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
- Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and movement within the workshop or warehouse
- Use hand tools and tooling to assist with machine adjustments or minor repairs
- Conduct quality checks on finished parts to ensure adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in compliance with safety standards
- Assist in assembly, fabrication, or welding tasks as required
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication, milling, or machining operations
- Knowledge of machine programming and troubleshooting
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of tooling, materials handling, and welding techniques
- Ability to use hand tools effectively and safely within a manufacturing setting
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements, calculations, and programming adjustments
- Experience with warehouse organisation or materials management is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail coupled with organisational skills to ensure precision in production processes
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team environment
