The Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of projects across the Communications & Compliance organisation, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to the required quality standards. The role coordinates cross-functional teams, manages stakeholder expectations, and maintains clear governance, risk and issue management, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Combining delivery discipline with strong communication skills, the role plans and controls project activities, ensures dependencies are managed, and works closely with engineering, operations and customer stakeholders to deliver measurable business value. The position plays a key role in improving delivery consistency by embedding effective ways of working, supporting planning and prioritisation, and driving continuous improvement across C&C.
Key Responsibilities- Project Delivery
- Lead projects from initiation through to closure, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, schedule, budget and quality.
- Define and maintain project plans, milestones, work packages and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate internal teams and third parties to deliver project outcomes, managing dependencies and constraints.
- Ensure clear acceptance criteria are agreed and that deliverables are signed off with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain project documentation in line with internal governance requirements.
- Identify, assess and manage project risks and issues, maintaining up-to-date RAID logs.
- Proactively manage dependencies across workstreams and teams, resolving blockers and escalating where required.
- Drive timely decision-making by presenting options, impacts and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Act as an escalation point for delivery challenges, ensuring actions are owned and progressed to resolution.
- Governance, Reporting & Controls
- Monitor and control project performance across key measures including: schedule and milestone delivery, budget and forecast variances, scope change and requirement traceability, risk and issue trends, resource capacity and key dependencies.
- Produce and present project status reports, dashboards and steering updates to stakeholders and leadership.
- Ensure appropriate governance is applied (e.g., stage gates, approvals, change control) and recommend corrective actions where delivery is off track.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Develop and execute stakeholder and communication plans to ensure appropriate engagement throughout delivery.
- Facilitate workshops, project kick-offs, requirement sessions and regular delivery ceremonies.
- Manage expectations by providing clear, timely updates on progress, risks, decisions and changes.
- Build trusted relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support successful adoption and transition to BAU.
- Cross-Functional Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate delivery across engineering, operations and customer teams to ensure work is sequenced and dependencies are managed.
- Work with product and technical leads to plan releases, environments and implementation activities.
- Support change control processes and ensure impacts are assessed, communicated and approved.
- Coordinate handover to operations/SOC, ensuring documentation, training and support readiness are in place.
- Run project retrospectives / lessons learned and ensure actions are tracked through to completion.
- Contribute to improving delivery standards, templates and best practices across the Communications & Compliance organisation.
- Support initiatives that improve delivery predictability, transparency and stakeholder satisfaction.
This role works closely with: Engineering teams, SOC / Service Operations and support teams.
