About the Role
You will be the management accountant for a practice/practices within Kerv, responsible for preparation of monthly management accounts and analysis of the results, playing a key role in helping the business understand performance and drive decision making. Reporting to the Head of Reporting and Controls, you will be working closely with the wider management accounting and commercial finance teams to drive business process improvements and deliver group level analysis, projects and results.
Your Part to Play
- Preparation of monthly management accounts in accordance with revenue recognition policies and applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare accruals, prepayments, journals, and maintain supporting schedules for deferred and accrued income.
- Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Perform variance analysis vs. budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key margin drivers and trends.
- Produce monthly reporting packs and present results to practice MDs.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in accuracy and quality of the management accounts through better use of data and improved processes.
- Support annual budget preparation and forecasts by providing accurate and high-quality run rate information.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes and controls, and support on external audit.
All about You
Experience and Competencies:
- Recently qualified ACA (or equivalent) accountant with 0-2 years post-qualification experience.
- Good technical knowledge of UK GAAP, particularly around revenue recognition.
- Have experience of working with IT/Telco and PE-backed businesses.
- Experience of working both independently and as part of a wider team.
- Excellent Excel skills; Power BI skills would be an advantage.

- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with finance and non-finance stakeholders in a consistent and positive manner.
