The Role

You will manage a varied caseload of claimant personal injury matters, negotiating costs efficiently and effectively to maximise recovery while maintaining excellent professional standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating costs on settled PI matters, including RTA, EL/PL and fast-track cases
  • Dealing with points of reply
  • Liaising with fee earners, opponents and third parties
  • Supporting the wider costs team with strategy and process improvements
  • Ensuring compliance with CPR and relevant costs legislation

About You

  • Proven experience as a Costs Negotiator within the law costs sector
  • Strong technical knowledge of the CPR and costs recovery process
  • Confident negotiating with defendant insurers and costs firms
  • Highly organised, commercially aware and detail-focused
  • Able to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team culture
