What You’ll Do
As a Costs Draftsperson in the Costs Health team, you’ll play a key role in supporting complex costs litigation and dispute resolution by:
- Managing your own caseload from instruction to completion, including preparing detailed schedules of costs, bills of costs, and engaging in negotiation with opposing parties.
- Drafting Points of Dispute and providing clear, technically sound written work with confidence.
- Working on adverse costs claims in multi-track matters, giving you exposure to substantive work in a fast-paced environment.
- Operating autonomously while collaborating with an experienced national costs team — where your input and expertise will be actively valued.

Who You Are
You’ll be successful in this role if you:
- Have experience managing your own costs caseload and drafting costs documentation.
- Are confident drafting Points of Dispute and know how to apply the Civil Procedure Rules in practice.
- Are highly organised, articulate and driven to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Have excellent research, communication and IT skills — particularly Microsoft Office.
- Clinical negligence costs experience is a bonus but not essential — the firm values potential and capability just as highly.
