As a Group Litigation Costs Lawyer, you will play a pivotal role in managing costs across large-scale, multi-party litigation, often involving complex funding arrangements and novel costs issues. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing all aspects of costs in large group and collective actions
- Drafting and negotiating budgets, bills of costs, and costs schedules
- Advising on costs strategy throughout the lifecycle of complex litigation
- Working closely with solicitors, counsel, funders, and external costs professionals
- Handling detailed assessments, negotiations, and costs disputes
- Advising on funding structures, CFAs, DBAs, ATE insurance, and adverse costs risk
