We are working with a highly regarded national claimant law firm that is continuing to invest in the growth of its Clinical Negligence practice following a significant increase in high-quality instructions. The firm is seeking to appoint Clinical Negligence Solicitors at Grade A or B level, with flexibility to consider more senior appointments where there is a strong strategic fit. Applications are welcomed from Associates, Senior Associates, Team Leaders, Heads of Department, Legal Directors, and Partners. An existing client following is advantageous but not essential.
This is an opportunity to join a well-resourced and established Clinical Negligence team, handling complex and meaningful work within a supportive, professional environment that values quality, collaboration, and long-term development.
The Role
The successful candidate will work with a high degree of autonomy while benefiting from strong team support. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of clinical negligence matters from inception to conclusion, including complex and high-value claims
- Providing clear, empathetic advice to clients throughout sensitive and often life-changing matters
- Liaising with medical experts, counsel, and other stakeholders to progress cases effectively
- Contributing to overall team performance and successful case outcomes
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate, depending on seniority
There is genuine scope for senior candidates to contribute to team leadership and departmental development.
Essential Criteria
- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
- Minimum of 4 years’ PQE handling Clinical Negligence matters
- Ability to manage cases independently
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach
