An award-winning, high-performing claimant law firm is seeking an experienced Costs Negotiator to join its specialist costs team. This firm is widely recognised as a market leader within personal injury litigation, combining exceptional financial performance with a genuinely modern, people-focused culture. You will manage a varied caseload of claimant personal injury matters, negotiating costs efficiently and effectively to maximise recovery while maintaining excellent professional standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Negotiating costs on settled PI matters, including RTA, EL/PL and fast-track cases
- Dealing with points of reply
- Liaising with fee earners, opponents and third parties
- Supporting the wider costs team with strategy and process improvements
- Ensuring compliance with CPR and relevant costs legislation
About You
- Proven experience as a Costs Negotiator within the law costs sector
- Strong technical knowledge of the CPR and costs recovery process
- Confident negotiating with defendant insurers and costs firms
- Highly organised, commercially aware and detail-focused
- Able to work autonomously while contributing positively to a team culture
