A well-established and highly regarded law firm is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join its busy MOJ Stage 3 team in Liverpool.
You will primarily deal with admitted liability claims, assisting with the progression and settlement of quantum while providing a high standard of client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling general telephone queries and responding to correspondence from claimants and third parties
- Managing MOJ administration and dealing with incoming court correspondence
- Reviewing claimant losses and vehicle-related losses, including Credit Hire claims
- Drafting accurate and timely witness statements
- Preparing and submitting court proceedings packs via the MOJ Portal
- Issuing proceedings through the relevant courts
- Preparing court bundles and assisting with counsel instructions
- Supporting the wider team with the efficient progression of claims
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within a personal injury environment and an understanding of the MOJ Portal and Stage 3 process
- Knowledge of admitted and disputed liability claims
- Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to work to deadlines
- The ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment
