An exciting opportunity has come available to join a fast-paced finance function as a Finance Assistant, working within a small Operations Admin team supporting the Finance Manager on a range of duties.
Key Finance Responsibilities:- Creating customer accounts to include credit checks
- Credit control
- Processing customer payments when required
- Processing of cash receipts
- Processing credit notes and invoices
- Allocating cash
- Monthly statements
- Assisting with customer account queries
- Assisting with other areas of accounts when required including month end work
- Assisting with Audit
- Processing expenses
- Providing general cover within the Finance team
- Ability to be flexible
- Ability to prioritise and manage time efficiently
- Have previous experience working within an administrative role
- Experience of working in a busy environment
- Demonstrate excellent organisation, attention to detail and workload management
- Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate with strong Excel and Outlook skills
- Can work within a team environment to achieve team/department objectives
- Ability to be proactive and work independently
- Confident problem solver
- Systems requirements – Sage 200 experience would be preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environment
