Role Summary: We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Manager to join the Ruminant Team at our Rochdale site named Quat-Chem. As our customer base and market dynamics continue to evolve, we are seeking someone who can strengthen our customer relationships, improve service continuity, and support the efficiency of our wider sales operation.
The Business Support Manager will work closely with the field sales team, merchant customers, and internal departments to enhance customer engagement, improve CRM and data utilisation, and support both business retention and future growth opportunities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Developing a strong understanding of the company’s product categories and becoming fully integrated within the Ruminant sales team.
- Acting as a secondary point of contact for merchant customers and, in some cases, the primary point of contact.
- Supporting the field sales team with follow-up customer calls, lead generation activities and administrative and operational support.
- Supporting the integration and ongoing development of CRM systems for both merchant and end-user customer profiles.
- Maintaining and improving customer data quality to support business retention and growth strategies.
- Analysing commercial and customer data to identify business threats and growth opportunities.
- Assisting with forecasting trends, customer performance analysis, and CMA analysis.
- Helping improve continuity of customer service and supply during changes within the sales team structure.
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to improve customer interaction, communication, and service delivery.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Strong communication and personable skills due to interaction with merchants.
- Structured and organisational skills.
- Commercial awareness and analytical capability for analysing reports.
- Confidence using CRM systems and customer data.
- Ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
- A proactive and collaborative approach.
