We are expanding our manufacturing facility in Coleraine and have exciting opportunities available for Production Team Leader. As our operations grow, we will be hiring for multiple full-time, permanent positions over the coming months. Kerry Coleraine proudly stands as the UK’s leading manufacturer of processed cheese. We specialise in producing individually wrapped cheese slices for retail, as well as cheese slices designed for the catering and fast-food industries. With our ongoing expansion, we are also broadening our production to include a variety of new products for global household names in the food and beverage service industry.
In this role, you will work on a 3-week rotating shift schedule. Shifts are 12 hours each (from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am), alternating between days and nights. For example: Week 1 - 3 night shifts, Week 2 - 2 day shifts and 2 night shifts, Week 3 - 3 day shifts.
About Kerry
A career with Kerry involves executing production operations by following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and engaging in front-line problem solving. Responsibilities include:
- Detecting, resolving, and reporting production issues affecting performance, quality, or safety.
- Performing visual inspections for material acceptance and verifying batch numbers and shelf-life.
- Preparing the line for production, ensuring safety, hygiene, and equipment readiness; executing changeovers per SOPs.
- Capturing and documenting operations data such as downtime, waste, yield, and non-conformances.
- Conducting equipment checks and quality control inspections before, during, and after production.
What do you need to be successful?
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, with a preference for experience in food manufacturing.
- Proven ability to perform standard work at full line speed.
- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated experience in leading teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, and numerical skills, with fluency in the English language.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, including MS Office and SAP, with the ability to log in and interpret production data.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
