About the role
The Kerry Menstrie Site, part of the Kerry Group, is looking to recruit a Quality Control Technician within the Quality Team who will be responsible for testing end products and in process as part of the analytical department shift team.
Key Responsibilities
- Working in a team structure within a rotating pattern (including weekends)
- Accurate and timely execution of analytical testing to defined methods (raw material, in process and end product)
- Effective communication of results to production and quality personnel
- Accurate and timely reporting of results in the appropriate electronic system
- Organoleptic assessment of end products
- Laboratory equipment calibration as per schedule
- Hygiene audits as per schedule
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum HND level (in chemistry or related discipline)
- Minimum 2 years experience in analytical laboratory role
- Experience in:
- Chromatography (ideally HPLC & GC)
- Spectrophotometry (UV VIS)
- Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy
- Wet Chemistry methods including colour change titrations
- Maintenance and calibration of all laboratory equipment to ensure effective operation
- Proficient in IT systems in particular Word/Excel/PowerPoint
- Flexibility
- Experience of working in a food testing environment
