This role focuses on maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations within a manufacturing environment. Working as part of a cross-functional team, the position delivers planned and preventative maintenance, resolves technical issues, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
The role involves diagnosing faults, maintaining mechanical and/or electrical equipment, and ensuring all systems and documentation remain up to date in line with company standards. It also contributes to optimising plant performance, improving production efficiency, and advancing site excellence programmes such as KAMS and 5S.
Close engagement with production teams, maintenance functions, and external suppliers is required to ensure issues are addressed promptly and knowledge is effectively exchanged. Maintains a Safety First, Quality Always mindset and completes required risk assessments and documentation. Promotes a strong safety culture aligned with QSHE standards, Kerry policies, and engineering requirements.
Works in partnership with cross-functional teams to improve production performance and exchange knowledge. Identifies and escalates improvement opportunities through the maintenance function. Ensures timely resolution of plant issues to maximise operational efficiency. Contributes to the prioritisation of engineering issues, with breakdowns taking priority.
Completes planned and preventative maintenance to defined schedules. Diagnoses faults and maintains mechanical/electrical equipment. Reports equipment defects and updates SAP CMMS and other systems in line with policies. Contributes to KAMS excellence and maintains 5S standards across workshops and stores. Escalates issues through the maintenance contact or relevant function. Undertakes additional tasks as required by the Maintenance Manager or team contact.
Qualifications:
- Relevant Electrical or Mechanical trade qualification, diploma, or degree
- 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of the food industry
- Knowledge of maintenance best practices and CMMS systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings for electrical, mechanical, and facilities applications
- Fluency in English and a relevant local language
- CAD and programming skills are advantageous
