The Private Label Director will lead the commercial strategy and execution for private label across the UK and Irish markets. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth, building strong retailer partnerships, and delivering commercial success through effective sales leadership, collaboration and execution.
Key responsibilities
- Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive private label sales strategy for the UK & Ireland, ensuring alignment with Kerry’s vision and business objectives.
- Explore and develop discounter model strategy to unlock the addressable market opportunity in this retail channel.
- Assess and anticipate long-term trends in private label to ensure the business is prepared for future market needs.
- Commercial Execution and Delivery
- Deliver revenue, margin, and market share targets specifically for private label, using data-driven sales planning and execution tailored to private label dynamics.
- Collaborate on pipeline building; ensuring execution across the priority focus areas in order to deliver budgeted sales, margin and volume growth.
- Leverage the breadth & depth of Kerry’s portfolios to build value and market growth aligned to our Taste strategy and bio technology solutions e.g. preservation, enzymes.
- Ensure internal global connection on opportunities that can be scaled across the retailers.
- Leadership
- Build a cross functional team leveraging current and future capability requirements, creating an empowering and engaging environment that attracts and retains the best talent and enables them to perform at their best.
- Create a culture of performance within the team, embedding best practice commercial effectiveness tracking and accountability through delivery against commercial KPI’s.
- Relationship Management
- Build and nurture senior-level relationships with key retail partners and discounter stakeholders, focusing on expanding private label opportunities and leveraging Kerry’s wider expertise.
- Proactive and positive management of risks and opportunities so as to manage customer experience including competitive threats.
- Effective and proactive collaboration with all key stakeholders including RDA, Marketing, BD, Finance, Operations, Customer service and Supply chain in order to align go to market execution.
